Recently, our good friend Nate West came to visit for a couple of weeks during a cross-country road trip he was on. Much to Nate's (my Nate's) happiness, he brought large quantities of Wisconsin beer that don't distribute down here in Austin. Thanks Nate!
Nate did a lot of exploring on his own during the week, but on the weekends, we took advantage of the natural springs in the area to stay cool and to avoid staying cooped up in A/C the entire time. Above is Barton Springs: 67 degrees all year round.Below are pictures of Hamilton Pool. Another natural spring pool about 30 miles west of Austin. It was beautiful! We had to wait in line for over an hour just to get in as there is a limited amount of space available, but it was well worth the wait. Once in, we parked and followed a hiking trail about a quarter mile long to get to the pool.
